Bernard Lewis

Bernard Lewis ist emeritierter Professor für Nahoststudien an der Princeton University und ehemaliges Mitglied des Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. Er ist Autor mehrerer Bücher, darunter "The Arabs in History," "Istanbul and the Civilization of the Ottoman Empire," "The Middle East and the West," "The Assassins," "The Muslim Discovery of Europe" und "The Jews of Islam." Er hat auch als Herausgeber und Autor zu vielen Einträgen in der "Encyclopedia of Islam" und der Serie "Oxford's Studies in Middle Eastern History" beigetragen.
