The Corsair RMx power supplies are 80 PLUS Gold certified to give you extremely tight voltage regulation, almost silent operation, and a fully modular cable set. With Japan made 105°C capacitors and 80 Plus Gold certification, it is an excellent choice for high-performance computing where reliability is essential.

80 PLUS Gold

It has 80 PLUS Gold certification, which means it provides clean power that reaches 85% of its total efficiency.

The extremely efficient operation of the series leads to lower energy consumption and lower operating costs. Given that it produces less heat, the fan does not need to work as hard and you will enjoy almost silent operation.

Compact Design

The RM series cases have a length of only 160mm, ensuring easy application to almost all modern computer cases.

Full-modular wiring

The flat black cables are fully detachable, so you will only use the cables you need. Connection indicators make installation quick and easy.

Design for Low-Noise Operation

The RMx power supplies are regulated with a low-noise fan curve to ensure that even at full load, fan noise is kept to a minimum.

ZERO RPM fan mode

During low and medium loads, the cooling fan of the RM550x does not rotate until it is needed, for almost silent operation.

Japanese-made 105°C Capacitors

Using high-spec electrolytic capacitors, the RM550x provides the unwavering power and long-term reliability you expect from a CORSAIR power supply.

Protection Technologies

  • OPP (Over Power Protection): Shutdown function of the power supply when excessive power is drawn, generally between 110 and 140% of the advertised power.
  • OTP (Over Temperature Protection): Protects the power supply from overheating damage, e.g. of the fan.
  • UVP (Under Voltage Protection): Protection aimed at shutting down the power supply if the voltage drops too low.
  • OVP (Over Voltage Protection): Overvoltage protection works similarly to UVP, but in the opposite way.
  • SCP (Short Circuit Protection): Short circuit protection measures the resistance on each rail and will shut down when the resistance is less than 0.1 ohms. Generally, this is combined with OPP, OCP, OVP, and UVP.

    It powers a system with a Ryzen 2600x and an MSI 1660ti graphics card!! I have had it for about two months, completely silent with daily use of 2-3 hours of gaming at least, and its fan has not turned on at all!!

    From the best power supply series you can get for this money. Very well packaged with a bag that contains all the cables. Apart from the basic motherboard and CPU cables, it includes 1 double PCIe (6+2 pin), 2 triple Sata, 1 quadruple molex, and 1 floppy adapter. Quality sleeved cables with the only negative being that they are difficult to bend, so it requires some effort to twist them for optimal cable management. My system is Ryzen 2600 and RX570, so the PSU is very comfortable in terms of power, and with the Zero RPM Mode, it is completely silent. In summary, Fully Modular 80+ Gold with a 10-year warranty from Corsair.
