It was purchased in July 20th and from the beginning, the back of the TV makes a scratching sound (like when you put a hair on old TVs in front of the screen... like an electric and plastic sound). I informed Samsung and they replied that it is a normal sound because the processor and parts of the TV make that sound when they are in high resolution or when using YouTube or Netflix due to contraction and expansion. UNACCEPTABLE to buy an entertainment medium and hear scratching sounds while watching a movie!!! The plastic parts also make noise just by touching them, their quality is terrible! The image is very good though! but what can you do when the build quality is bad!

Attention all, both the specific models and the Q60 have an issue with the sound. Simply try setting the sound to 1-2 and listen for the interference. A technician from Samsung came today and made some adjustments, but the problem still remains (as he himself noticed). It is a problem with the series, not the specific TV, and Samsung has not yet provided a fix. Unacceptable for those who are experiencing this issue

The image is good with the following conditions:
1) You need to make some changes to the settings to get satisfactory contrast, blacks, brightness, and realistic colors.

2) You should sit relatively in front of the TV and not at a wide angle. Unfortunately, I notice that it doesn't perform well at viewing angles. From 20 degrees and onwards, the blacks start to fade and the colors appear less vibrant. At 15-20 degrees, it's not very noticeable, but the larger the angle, the worse the phenomenon becomes. Tip: If you view the TV at an angle in your living room, you can go to a showroom that has this model and test it from the same angle.

There is no backlight bleeding, and the clouding is minimal.

The sound is OK. It covers the basic needs of a TV.

The construction is average. Quite a bit of plastic. For its price, it's fine.

The user experience is quite fast and pleasant. Navigating between applications won't tire you. The menu is user-friendly and fast.

The voice commands via Bixby are fun, but Greek is not supported. However, if you speak English, you can easily order a song-video on YouTube or do a search on Google.

The remote control is minimal without the classic number buttons.

For the 500 euro category, I think it's a decent choice.

Initially, I was torn between this TV and the QE50Q60T. After reading reviews about the sound of the latter, I was convinced that I made the best choice! Without being an expert in TVs, I have to say that it is amazing. The color performance is fantastic, the sound is crystal clear and quite powerful. The viewing angles are very good as you can comfortably watch from the sides. Personally, I really liked the stand and prefer it over the legs. Switching between channels, Netflix, etc. is very fast. The only thing I understand that might bother some people is the remote control, which is very minimal and a bit difficult to use, especially at first. However, I got used to it and handle it comfortably! Go ahead and get it, it's worth every cent!

I have had it for 3 weeks and I haven't found anything negative, except for the exterior design which was expected for this price. If you are considering connecting it to the internet constantly, the 4K resolution plays at the corresponding speed of your connection, so keep that in mind.

I have it for about 3 months. Something more than perfect for a purchase around 500€. I would highly recommend it. Very beautiful image out of the box, reproduces excellently lower resolution material (full hd, tv signal, etc). Sturdy stand, nice motion handling with the interpolation tricks that I hate disabled and airy, with fast responsive operating system.

For 450€ on a 50-inch screen, it's a great value for money. The picture quality is very good. It comes with a small white remote control, which is actually very practical. I've had it for a month and I'm completely satisfied. Also, I should add that it has exceptional sound.

Amazing picture (for my own eyes as a regular user)
Perfect viewing angle, you can see normally and almost sideways if you sit
Perfect black as if it is turned off
What impressed me the most is their speakers, clear powerful sound and very good bass, I have not encountered such good sound on a television.
The control may be difficult for someone older but for me it is amazing, small and very convenient.
Changes from Netflix, Prime, Rakuten, Apple TV are lightning fast
Finally, very stable and high-quality stand

I received it a few hours ago (24/10/2020)...

A first impression:

On the plus side:

- Nice design (no prominent frame on the edges)
- Sturdy construction
- Good viewing angle
- Center stand (with a width of 79 cm, it fit well on an 88 cm furniture)

On the negative side:

- It has a smart remote control (not numeric), which means it is difficult to use for someone who is not familiar with technology or is older in age
- It does not come with an instruction manual

P.S. I will provide further feedback after using it for a while

I have it for one day, so if necessary I will come back.
Two or three things.
1) The 360 photo on Samsung's official Greek website does not correspond to the model. Specifically, it only shows it with an RF port, while it also has one for satellite.
2) From a side position, it doesn't fall as much as the reviews describe for the tu8000. Personally, I don't notice much of a difference from the sides or from the sides of the couch. In the specifications, it is dual LED, I don't know if this is the reason for the difference, it may be unrelated.
3) I am using the smart remote for the first time. OK for me, but for someone older, things are difficult. However, the classic Samsung remote that costs 5€ that I have for a 23-inch TV from 10 years ago in the room does everything that this one does.
4) It has proper screen mirroring to display the smartphone screen, which the skroutz specifications say it doesn't have.
5) Three HDMI ports, the second one with eARC (for soundbar).
6) AV input (576i), which I think Samsung had abolished years ago in other models.
7) I couldn't get the smartthings service to work, I realized that it is probably not available in Greece.
8) For wall mounting, you need VESA 200x200 with 8mm diameter holes. Be careful, the screws used for almost all other Samsung models DO NOT work for this model, which requires shorter ones. If you use the old ones and tighten them all the way, the screen will be at risk. You will need four M8 screws, with a pitch of 1.25mm in the thread, which should go in a maximum depth of 41mm (39-41mm) according to the manufacturer from the back surface of the TV. In other words, for the classic 45mm screws in length, you will need to add two washers between the screw and the base in order to tighten them (of course, a little) without damaging the screen on one hand and without risking the TV falling on the other.
9) The black is PITCH BLACK, I played the classic 24-hour black video on YouTube and I thought the TV turned off. Very good in colors and contrast (it takes a little tweaking to achieve it in the settings).

I was torn between this one and the 49ru8002 or qe49q60r, which have great reviews on rtings. But the rtings reviews did not correspond to these specific 49-inch models, but to larger screens (55 inches and above) that are 100Hz, while these are not (in other words, they are wrongly referred to as 2400 and 2500 pqi, which is true for larger screens, while these are 1800 and 1900 pqi). The 50tu8502 is 2800 pqi. Apart from that, I didn't mind spending 50-100€ more (599€) and I bought this one for future compatibility (WiFi 5Ghz), as well as for the past (AV input), since I'm not one of those who change their TV every 5 years.
I've told you everything and if I find more, I will tell you more.

The viewing angles are very good as you can comfortably watch from the sides. Personally, I really liked the stand and prefer it over the legs. Switching between channels, Netflix, etc. is very fast. The only thing I understand that might bother some people is the remote control, which is very minimal and a bit difficult to use, especially at first. However, I got used to it and handle it comfortably! Go ahead and get it, it's worth every cent!

I have had it for 3 weeks and I haven't found anything negative, except for the exterior design which was expected for this price. If you are considering connecting it to the internet constantly, the 4K resolution plays at the corresponding speed of your connection, so keep that in mind.

I have it for about 3 months. Something more than perfect for a purchase around 500€. I would highly recommend it. Very beautiful image out of the box, reproduces excellently lower resolution material (full hd, tv signal, etc). Sturdy stand, nice motion handling with the interpolation tricks that I hate disabled and airy, with fast responsive operating system.

For 450€ on a 50-inch screen, it's a great value for money. The picture quality is very good. It comes with a small white remote control, which is actually very practical. I've had it for a month and I'm completely satisfied. Also, I should add that it has exceptional sound.

Amazing picture (for my own eyes as a regular user)
Perfect viewing angle, you can see normally and almost sideways if you sit
Perfect black as if it is turned off
What impressed me the most is their speakers, clear powerful sound and very good bass, I have not encountered such good sound on a television.
The control may be difficult for someone older but for me it is amazing, small and very convenient.
Changes from Netflix, Prime, Rakuten, Apple TV are lightning fast
Finally, very stable and high-quality stand

I received it a few hours ago (24/10/2020)...

A first impression:

On the plus side:

- Nice design (no prominent frame on the edges)
- Sturdy construction
- Good viewing angle
- Center stand (with a width of 79 cm, it fit well on an 88 cm furniture)

On the negative side:

- It has a smart remote control (not numeric), which means it is difficult to use for someone who is not familiar with technology or is older in age
- It does not come with an instruction manual

P.S. I will provide further feedback after using it for a while

I have it for one day, so if necessary I will come back.
Two or three things.
1) The 360 photo on Samsung's official Greek website does not correspond to the model. Specifically, it only shows it with an RF port, while it also has one for satellite.
2) From a side position, it doesn't fall as much as the reviews describe for the tu8000. Personally, I don't notice much of a difference from the sides or from the sides of the couch. In the specifications, it is dual LED, I don't know if this is the reason for the difference, it may be unrelated.
3) I am using the smart remote for the first time. OK for me, but for someone older, things are difficult. However, the classic Samsung remote that costs 5€ that I have for a 23-inch TV from 10 years ago in the room does everything that this one does.
4) It has proper screen mirroring to display the smartphone screen, which the skroutz specifications say it doesn't have.
5) Three HDMI ports, the second one with eARC (for soundbar).
6) AV input (576i), which I think Samsung had abolished years ago in other models.
7) I couldn't get the smartthings service to work, I realized that it is probably not available in Greece.
8) For wall mounting, you need VESA 200x200 with 8mm diameter holes. Be careful, the screws used for almost all other Samsung models DO NOT work for this model, which requires shorter ones. If you use the old ones and tighten them all the way, the screen will be at risk. You will need four M8 screws, with a pitch of 1.25mm in the thread, which should go in a maximum depth of 41mm (39-41mm) according to the manufacturer from the back surface of the TV. In other words, for the classic 45mm screws in length, you will need to add two washers between the screw and the base in order to tighten them (of course, a little) without damaging the screen on one hand and without risking the TV falling on the other.
9) The black is PITCH BLACK, I played the classic 24-hour black video on YouTube and I thought the TV turned off. Very good in colors and contrast (it takes a little tweaking to achieve it in the settings).

I was torn between this one and the 49ru8002 or qe49q60r, which have great reviews on rtings. But the rtings reviews did not correspond to these specific 49-inch models, but to larger screens (55 inches and above) that are 100Hz, while these are not (in other words, they are wrongly referred to as 2400 and 2500 pqi, which is true for larger screens, while these are 1800 and 1900 pqi). The 50tu8502 is 2800 pqi. Apart from that, I didn't mind spending 50-100€ more (599€) and I bought this one for future compatibility (WiFi 5Ghz), as well as for the past (AV input), since I'm not one of those who change their TV every 5 years.
I've told you everything and if I find more, I will tell you more.

It was purchased in July 20th and from the beginning, the back of the TV makes a scratching sound (like when you put a hair on old TVs in front of the screen... like an electric and plastic sound). I informed Samsung and they replied that it is a normal sound because the processor and parts of the TV make that sound when they are in high resolution or when using YouTube or Netflix due to contraction and expansion. UNACCEPTABLE to buy an entertainment medium and hear scratching sounds while watching a movie!!! The plastic parts also make noise just by touching them, their quality is terrible! The image is very good though! but what can you do when the build quality is bad!

Attention all, both the specific models and the Q60 have an issue with the sound. Simply try setting the sound to 1-2 and listen for the interference. A technician from Samsung came today and made some adjustments, but the problem still remains (as he himself noticed). It is a problem with the series, not the specific TV, and Samsung has not yet provided a fix. Unacceptable for those who are experiencing this issue

The image is good with the following conditions:
1) You need to make some changes to the settings to get satisfactory contrast, blacks, brightness, and realistic colors.

2) You should sit relatively in front of the TV and not at a wide angle. Unfortunately, I notice that it doesn't perform well at viewing angles. From 20 degrees and onwards, the blacks start to fade and the colors appear less vibrant. At 15-20 degrees, it's not very noticeable, but the larger the angle, the worse the phenomenon becomes. Tip: If you view the TV at an angle in your living room, you can go to a showroom that has this model and test it from the same angle.

There is no backlight bleeding, and the clouding is minimal.

The sound is OK. It covers the basic needs of a TV.

The construction is average. Quite a bit of plastic. For its price, it's fine.

The user experience is quite fast and pleasant. Navigating between applications won't tire you. The menu is user-friendly and fast.

The voice commands via Bixby are fun, but Greek is not supported. However, if you speak English, you can easily order a song-video on YouTube or do a search on Google.

The remote control is minimal without the classic number buttons.

For the 500 euro category, I think it's a decent choice.

Initially, I was torn between this TV and the QE50Q60T. After reading reviews about the sound of the latter, I was convinced that I made the best choice! Without being an expert in TVs, I have to say that it is amazing. The color performance is fantastic, the sound is crystal clear and quite powerful. The viewing angles are very good as you can comfortably watch from the sides. Personally, I really liked the stand and prefer it over the legs. Switching between channels, Netflix, etc. is very fast. The only thing I understand that might bother some people is the remote control, which is very minimal and a bit difficult to use, especially at first. However, I got used to it and handle it comfortably! Go ahead and get it, it's worth every cent!
