I bought this mobile phone last summer for the price of €1100 (I was the owner of the Note 9 and in general all my mobile phones were Android, although I was familiar with Apple's software and the quality of its products because I had an iPad). Although I am very satisfied with the mobile phone, I will not hide that I miss MANY of the functions that my previous mobile phone had, as well as the Spen. My complaints mainly concern the battery, as with this mobile phone before iOS 16, I easily got 1.5 days on a single charge, and for 1.5 years I had maintained the battery health at 100%, but after the update, it dropped to 95% and barely lasts 1 day. Also, I have been having some problems with charging as it does not always charge when I plug it in. The camera, although very good, cannot be compared to the cameras of current flagship mobile phones, and finally, what bothers me a little is its screen, which although very good, does not match the curved and much more vibrant screen of the Note 9, which was the mobile phone of 2019... I will not hide that I often miss my old mobile phone, although Apple's software is superior. In the future, my next mobile phone will probably be from Apple despite everything.

I have had the mobile phone for 1 year and it took me a while to write a review, but I was trying to understand why it was giving me overheating issues.

Let's start with the positives, which are many and expected for the price category.

Screen
One of the best panels in the flagship category. Excellent brightness, color accuracy. Viewing videos, games, photos, etc. is amazing.

Operating System
Coming from Android devices, it takes 2-3 months to get used to it. At first, you might curse it, but then the user experience compensates. Flawless integration with banks, POS, etc. The categorization of photos is much better on Android (on Huawei, where I was), but as I said, it's a matter of habit. The operating system is smooth and the transitions are excellent. Of course, there is no lag.

Battery
Don't look at the mAh. It doesn't matter. I use it heavily for work and entertainment, and it easily lasts a day. And I come from Huawei, which had reached a very high level in terms of battery management.

Cameras
The wide and telephoto lenses are excellent. Especially in pro-raw mode, they are hard to beat. Along with the ultra-wide lens, there is no difference in color between the cameras. I didn't expect that. All Android devices, as soon as you switch cameras, mess up the white balance. The only problem is the ultra-wide lens, which, although good, has a lot of noise in low light. Unacceptable in this area. The video quality is the best on the market, by far.

Processor
Of course, it's a beast. It doesn't lag anywhere. But there is one serious negative, which I will mention below.

Speaker
Not the loudest on the market, but very high quality. I haven't heard any other phone with such quality.

Negatives

Apart from the quality of the ultra-wide lens, it has a tremendous issue (at least in what I do) with overheating. For example, when I open OneDrive where I have stored files, within 4 minutes, the phone gets extremely hot and dims down the screen. I go for a run with Runkeeper. When the outside temperature is 30 degrees, it heats up and dims down the screen, so I can't even see it in the shade! The same problem occurs when taking photos or videos at the beach. UNACCEPTABLE temperature management for a phone of this price. That's why I gave it 3 stars. I took it to the service center to show them the problem, and they said they don't see any issue. I didn't expect Apple to have such issues with processor heat management.

Former android user, I decided to make the change and switch to iOS.

As an operating system, it's not as user-friendly as Android and it takes a few days to understand how it works. iTunes is indeed the most tragic program out there, as I had been told, but I didn't expect it to be so bad.

For transferring music, you can download the program "copy trans" on your computer and in a minute, you can transfer as many songs as you want. For transferring photos from your phone to your computer, you can download the "Photos" application for free from the Microsoft Store on your PC.

The sound is very good, the videos are perfect, the best in its category. The camera is quite good, not as good as the p40 pro I had, but it definitely doesn't disappoint. The apps run smoothly without any problems.

The battery is good, it easily lasts a day and charges quickly, even though I was worried before buying it because I heard it was only 20w. Face ID works perfectly, even at night.

Is it worth it? Definitely not for 1200 euros, it's way too expensive. I bought it without VAT for 900 euros and I still consider it overpriced. The good thing is that whenever you put it up for sale, you can easily sell it.

Expectedly good. For those who have been familiar with iPhones for years, there are no surprises and the review is almost unnecessary since you know what to expect and its annual presentation is precise. The only thing that the comment can be useful for is the experience with the screen size: coming from a smaller iPhone screen, I was afraid it would be too big and impractical. After the first 3-4 days of getting used to it, not a thought... the size of the screen is excellent and I would regret it if I went for the smaller pro. Additionally, from the XS max onwards, battery is not an issue. The only negative, as always, is the price, but between us, no matter how much they would charge, once you go for an iPhone, you don't go back for many reasons. Of course, each model comfortably lasts you for 4 years. Not that it starts having problems after 6 or 7 years (or I don't know how much in models after the iPhone 6s), but at some point you get bored and after 3-4 years there are reasons for upgrading. Owner of 4 iPhone devices in the last 12 years.

I was a user of the iPhone SE 2016 (still works great!) for many years and decided to make the transition to the best Apple phone currently available (the 13 will come soon, but it will be only slightly better, not a revolution compared to the 12). It is definitely worth the money, although it is quite expensive. But it's logical, the phone is faster than my laptop, and I have a good laptop. The difference from the older iPhone is huge. Nice and smooth screen, very fast, never lags.

Battery: To give you an idea:
With 100% battery in the morning, I started using new apps, listening to music, and being on Instagram & Facebook almost until noon. At noon, I watched an episode on Apple TV (I got it for free for a year due to buying the iPhone). Then, in the car with a lot of heat (summer) and half an hour with data on, playing Spotify and having Google Maps navigation on. At the beach, I used the camera a lot for photos and videos, and did some browsing and made a call. On the way back, I listened to music and had data on. Back home in the afternoon, I looked at the photos, uploaded them, and browsed social media. A walk in the evening without heavy usage, and by around 12 midnight, it had 20% battery left, so I plugged it in to charge. Of course, I don't use my phone this heavily every day, but I think you get an idea of the battery life from the above description. It surpasses the standards of a conventional phone, but don't expect miracles. It easily lasts for two days with regular use. Most importantly, it didn't heat up at all.

I recommend that when someone buys it, they should take care to read some tips for better phone usage and to keep the battery healthy.

Camera: The colors and feel are very natural. They make all other phones (even older iPhones) look processed and fake. At first, you might be surprised by the more subtle contrast and colors (maybe because we're used to a lot of effects in photos), but after a while, at least for me, it's hard to consider "editing" the photo. There's no reason to. It makes you want to become a better photographer, not a better photo editor. There are some reviews that give more positive points to the Samsung camera, but that's a matter of taste. Photos from other phone brands seem processed compared to this one. The video is simply perfect, with great zoom and clarity. At night or in indoor settings, the photo or video will simply capture what you see, so it's ideal. I'm not talking about complete darkness or very low lighting, don't expect miracles. The Face ID, of course, unlocks even in complete darkness, which I didn't expect. But you have to remove your mask for it to unlock.

The large screen might be challenging for some, especially if they have small fingers. Some tasks that we do daily with the phone can be done with one hand, but after a while, you get used to the size and surface. If you decide to buy it, enjoy it and don't treat it like a fragile toy, it's a shame. It's very sturdy and has many capabilities, don't be afraid of it. After some thought, I decided to get a good case and screen protector, although it's a bit funny because I don't think they ultimately protect it from anything, it's more for my peace of mind. It has a very solid construction.

Update: With the original 20W charger and cable, the device heats up a lot at the beginning until it reaches 50-60%. It charges very quickly, of course, reaching 80% in 30-40 minutes. For now, the battery is not playing around, it lasts all day and even more. I got used to the size and weight of the phone within a week. Now all my other phones seem like minions. However, the big difference is the quality of the video, even at night, it's very good. The screen gives the feeling that it has lower brightness compared to other phones, but in the long run, you realize that it's very comfortable. It performed excellently during its first summer with heavy daily use, and I have no complaints.

I have it for 5 days coming from 7 plus. In the positives:

Great, sturdy and high-quality construction. It doesn't leave fingerprints on the screen. Beautiful colors on the screen, combined with true tone, the eye doesn't get tired. The best camera so far on a mobile phone. The RAW function is necessary for every photography enthusiast. With a subscription to photoshop mobile, editing is possible at a professional level.

The video is crystal clear with dolby vision hdr, realistic colors, sharpness, clarity. Especially when shooting in 4k/60 and viewing it on an HDR-supported TV, it pleases the eye. The 3 lenses on the back are the best, ultra-wide, normal, and zoom.

The night mode in photography is very powerful. The device runs every application smoothly and the switching between them is instantaneous. The battery is strong and lasts 2 days with casual use. It charges in about 90 minutes with the 18-watt charger. The box does not contain a charger, while the cable is usb c and not a.

The sound is crystal clear whether you're listening on YouTube or watching a video you recorded. It also has 5G capability, but the speed tests are disappointing and often worse than 4G.

2/5/2022: Often with RAW mode and editing in photoshop for iOS, I can't see a significant difference compared to a file from my DSLR. The battery health is at 98%. I charge it every 2nd day.

I believe I can be quite objective in my review because from the iPhone 4 to the 12 Pro Max, I sell my old phone and buy the new model every year. However, this is the first time I will write a review for an iPhone model.

I have had this particular phone since November 2020. The initial impressions were not so good as when I opened it, there were batches of phones that had a green tint on the screen, and there were also many issues with the signal during calls (I could hear them, but they couldn't hear me, and sometimes the call would drop completely).

However, based on my experience, I knew that all these issues would be fixed with software updates, so due to the COVID-19 pandemic and delays in phone replacements, I was patient. Indeed, after 1 month and gradually with subsequent updates, all the signal problems were completely resolved, as well as the slight green tint on the screen.

I believe that a phone of this value should not have such significant issues, but I focus on the situation with the pandemic and the fact that everything was fixed without me having to do anything, which is very important for the user.

Moving on to the other aspects of the phone, in terms of construction and design, it is much more beautiful in my opinion, and the squared edges make it much more user-friendly with cases. I can easily put on and take off cases without them being too tight like in the previous model. The matte glass on the back is very beautiful, and overall, the phone is aesthetically pleasing.

The flat screen, although some may not like it compared to Samsung's curved screens, is the most practical as you can easily apply a full coverage screen protector without being a surgeon. Similarly, with curved screens, screen protectors do not adhere well, and many times they do not work well with fingerprint recognition. So, I am very happy that Apple still does not use curved screens.

In terms of battery life, I wake up at 7 in the morning and go to bed at 12:30 at night. Throughout the day, I use my phone a lot for work and social media, including photos and videos. I also do workouts at home every day, either running or cycling, where I always use fitness tracking with the phone screen on. In other words, the usage I put my phone through is very heavy on a daily basis. With all this usage, at the moment, it is 1:33 in the morning, and I am still writing this review with 26% battery remaining. This means that it gets me through the day without any issues, and for me, that is the purpose of having a phone that lasts until bedtime and wakes up with 100% battery.

I am also satisfied with the cameras, especially the video quality, which is now of very high standards, even in low light conditions. The night mode also works very well if you have a steady hand or a tripod.

Lastly, let's not forget that the iPhone becomes a fantastic tool if you are already within the Apple ecosystem of services and products. Also, many people may have an iPhone in their hands, but that doesn't mean they fully utilize it. Furthermore, it doesn't mean that the iPhone is only intended for the masses. It is a tool with advanced capabilities and automation that, if you truly explore and learn (see the Shortcuts app and Siri), you won't be able to navigate through daily life with any other phone.

Personally, I use Siri 50% of the day for calls, timers, alarms, shortcuts, scanning with my printer, music, smart lights at home, and other HomeKit accessories. I have also completely eliminated my wallet since Apple Pay arrived in Greece, which has not disappointed me even once in payment... and I pay for everything with Apple Pay, even the pastry at the bakery!

Overall, my experience with the 12 PRO MAX is excellent now that the initial issues have been resolved, and I am very satisfied. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because it was the only model that gave me a little trouble at the beginning until software upgrades were made along the way.

It's simply amazing!!! The camera is something else, it takes incredibly clear photos, has a great zoom and wide angle, and takes very bright photos at night with low light thanks to the lidar, which is incomparable to anything else I've seen.
The 6.7-inch screen is simply stunning, like having a small tablet that you can operate with one hand (assuming you have at least slightly large hands), and it makes the experience of watching videos and reading a pure delight. The speaker is amazing with good bass, very fast response to anything you do... and let's not forget the design, which is like a jewel, truly when you hold it in your hands it gives you the feeling of an expensive premium phone!!! One last thing I noticed is that it also has much better signal in my house. We had no signal at all with the iPhone X, rarely even had one bar, while with this one I have almost two bars throughout the house and three in some areas, which I never even dreamed of in my wildest dreams!! I simply love it!

I come from Xs max and based on that I will write about my experience with my new phone.

Years of being an iPhone user since the 4s era. The operating system, although closed, has nothing to do with the earlier times as it gives you many customization options and personalization capabilities if you like to play around and experiment. For everyone else, "it just works."

So let's start by saying that after years we now have a new design. For me, it is one of the most beautiful smartphones (along with the note ultra) and its finish and build quality are impeccable. The most durable glass on the screen and a stainless steel frame give the feeling of an expensive premium device, which is 100% true.

Display: Super Retina XDR. Ok, as impressive as the name is, the screen on the 6.7 inches is truly enjoyable to look at. It is the best screen on a smartphone according to DisplayMate, and I don't need to say anything more. Personally, though, if you exclude the numerical differences from the Xs max, I didn't notice much difference except for the better brightness in intense sunlight conditions.

The difference that you can't see with the naked eye on the screen compared to the Xs max, you can see it with the camera! And here I will focus particularly. In very good lighting conditions, the photos are amazing with very good HDR management even in backlight. However, the big difference is in low light conditions and at night where the night mode, Deep Fusion, and Apple ProRAW shine! In proRaw format, in night mode, the detail is truly remarkable, as well as the noise reduction! You will be truly impressed by how good photos you can take now, even at night. Night mode is also available on all cameras now. The portrait mode is the best on the market, now with the ability for night portraits thanks to the lidar sensor. As for videos, I don't need to say anything. By far the best on the market now, with the ability to record in Dolby Vision! Simply amazing!

Battery: Another difference that you immediately notice compared to the Xs max is the tremendous battery life of the phone. It won't bother anyone, no matter how much of a "power user" you declare yourself to be. The phone will easily last a day, and with normal use, it can last two days. Also, one of the best battery lives on a smartphone.

As for the processor, I don't need to say much since Apple has had the upper hand for years. However, I will focus on the 6 GB of RAM on the phone, which are extremely satisfying for an iOS device. The phone doesn't restart anything no matter what is running in the background, and it definitely makes it future proof. From experience, I believe it will take Apple years to add more RAM to their pro devices.

Finally, the speakers are also very good, but here, the differences are not immediately noticeable compared to similar previous models from the company in this price category.

In conclusion, it is truly a top-notch phone with a corresponding top-notch price, which is justified by the features and quality of the device. If you have the 11 pro max, I don't think there is a substantial reason for an upgrade, except maybe for the new design. Everything else is more or less the same, except for the ability for proRaw in the camera. For those with Xs and older models, you will see significant differences, and it is worth making the transition.

P.S. Personally, I miss the 3D Touch. Especially when typing, now in order to move the cursor where you want, you have to go to the space. So many times I catch myself pressing anywhere on the keyboard to display a letter and then having to delete it afterwards.

In the positives: The mobile phone has one of the best screens on the market! It really doesn't lack anything, maybe a 120Hertz. Very beautiful design with sides that resemble the iPhone 5, however, its sides have something like a mirror, which I really like a lot!

In the negatives: The 5G emits terrible radiation, which is not even necessary since in Greece we don't have 5G antennas, and even if we did, it would have many health effects, so I would like the option to choose the network, for example, 4G+. The battery is much worse than its predecessor, and all this just for a 5G! The camera is nice, but it is the same as the 11 pro max, but okay, at night it clearly has a better camera, and only there! There are moments when I feel that the iPhone 11 takes better photos than this one because it somehow loses its color and in portrait mode, it looks a bit like Samsung. Finally, it does not include the adapter, and you have to go and buy it yourself, plus the headphones for an additional €50 and €20.

In summary, buying it is really unnecessary. The only reason to buy it is just to tell your friends that you have bought the 12, and only for that. It is not worth going to buy a mobile phone for €400 more just to have a lidar lens, and that's it. I believe that they released a mobile phone just to release it this year. It is also worth noting that someone else manufactured this year's model, as you all know, because the founder of Apple passed away. I had high expectations for this year's model and for Apple in general, but I was very disappointed, so I recommend waiting for the next model (if it has improvements, although I believe it will).!!!!
