The instrument automatically recognizes the base material (ferrous/ferromagnetic, non-ferrous/non-ferromagnetic) and features one- or two-point calibration for enhanced measurement accuracy. It can store up to 80 measured values in internal memory and transfer them to a computer via USB for further analysis.
